Instructions for hydrocolloid - foot blister:
Clean and dry skin before use, ensuring the blister area is free of creams and oils.
Remove the paper, avoiding touching the adhesive tape.
Apply cushion firmly over blister area, ensuring the edges are well smoothed down.
To aid adhesion, warm the bandage with your hand. Press down the edge firmly.
Leave in place until it starts to detach. May stay in place for up to several days.
To remove the hydrocolloid, do not pull upwards but slowly stretch along the skin. Remove cushion by loosening edge and gently pulling strip sideways to release the seal.
To ease removal, you may use baby oil or warm water.
Do not reapply after removal.
Warnings - use of hydrocolloid for foot blister:
Do not use hydrocolloid on an infected blister.
Diabetics and those with poor circulation should use only under the supervision of a Health Care Professional.
If redness, swelling, or blister does not heal, discontinue use, and consult your doctor.
Do not use on deep puncture wounds, fragile skin, burns, stitches, or any infected areas.
Do not use on children under 2 years of age.
Keep out of reach of children.
Avoid contact with eyes and other mucous membranes.
Do not reuse to avoid infection.
